Date & Tamarind Chutney - Khajoor Chutney For Chaat Recipe by Ruchi Bharani - Vegetarian [HD] <br />INGREDIENTS- <br />400 gm. red dates <br />100 gm. jaggery <br />50 gm. tamarind <br />1/4 tsp. asafoetida (heeng) <br />2 tsp. red chilli powder <br />2 tsp. coriander cumin seed powder <br />salt to taste <br />water <br /><br />METHOD- <br />- Add the dates to a round bottom pan. Add 2 cups of water. Stir well. Let it come to a boil. <br />- Add jaggery, salt, coriander cumin seed powder, red chilli powder and asafoetida. Stir and let it simmer on a slow flame for 25-30 min till the dates become absolutely soft. <br />- Add tamarind and let it cook for 5 min. <br />- Let it cool down completely. <br />- Add it to a grinder and churn well into a smooth paste.
